The second book in Henry Venmore-Rowland’s Rome series is published tomorrow. Hurrah! The Sword and the Throne which will be available in hardback in approximately 7 hours 57 minutes and something seconds follows Henry’s first book in the series, The Last Caesar. I can’t remember such excitement about a TV programme since the 2005 plane crash in Neighbours! (Should have chosen something more recent, shouldn’t I…) For the past 8 weeks my Monday nights have been consumed by the drama of Broadchurch and more recently the war of the remote control since Game of Thrones reared its head again. A huge congratulation to Adam Johnson who’s brilliantly dark and funny novel about North Korea, The Orphan Master’s Son, won the US’s most prestigious literary award, the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction.
