This week, the lovely Jack Sheffield spoke to the equally lovely ladies of the Nottinghamshire Women’s Institutes about the joys of being a Yorkshire school teacher. We heard comical accounts of the hilarious things children say, heart-warming stories of school life and how Jack started his writing career at the age of 61. Jack’s latest book, School’s Out! is now available in trade paperback and he delights with the ups and downs of village life in another year at Ragley-on-the-Forest school. Victoria Lamb is a busy lady. Not only is she nominated for The Young Adult Romantic Novel Award category in the Romantic Novel Awards (RoNA) 2013 presented by the Romantic Novelists’ Association today for her book Witchstruck but her new book His Dark Lady is published this week .
